Mama S and Mr. L–Middle Georgia Family Photographer

Mr. L was the first baby in my portfolio.  I taught his mother back in the day and she graciously allowed me to come into her house and stuff her newborn son into a bowl.  And take pictures of it all.

Then, about a year later, she let me take pictures of the entire family.  Thankfully, no bowls were involved.

For our latest adventure, Mama S and I betook ourselves to the wilds of Houston County for a little pastoral Mama S and Mr. L time.  In our previous encounters, Mr. L was either, you know, asleep or he was fighting an ear infection, so he wasn’t exactly working the camera.  Adorable?  Yes.  Giving me smiles?  Not so much.

This time, that was NOT a problem.

How cute is this guy?
So.  Flipping.  Cute.

Miz Katie / Warner Robins Senior Photography

This past weekend, I snapped Miz Katie, a graduating senior at Northside High.  What a fun, beautiful, easy-going young lady she is!  Even when I was asking her to roll around in a mess of fire ants, she kept her sense of humor intact.  Her mama came along for the ride, which included trips to a roadside wild rose patch and a gorgeous piece of pasture in the middle of town.  (I also confirmed that my hometown is the Center of the Universe, because Miz Katie’s sister married my brother’s ex-girlfriend’s cousin.  Crazy!)

Here are a few of my favorite shots from the session:

I had a great time getting to know Miz Katie and her mama and look forward to hearing great things about her as she heads of to my alma mater in the fall.  (Gooooo Dawgs!!)

The S Family — Middle Georgia Maternity Photography

A few days ago, I spent a perfect Spring morning with the S family:  Mama N, Daddy C, and Mr. C–and of course, Mr. N chilling out in Mama’s belly.  We had a great time in a gorgeous setting and were able to capture about a bazillion pictures.  Here are just a few of my favorites from the session:

Mama N in the sunshine

How beautiful is this mama?  She was so comfortable with herself and I think it shows in the pictures.  (And she was willing to go out on a floating dock for me, so yay!)

Mr. C runs ahead

Mr. C liked exploring a little more than posing, I think.  But that meant pictures like this, so it was all good.

Daddy C and Mama N

These guys were so in love.  It made me feel all gooey inside.

Mama N

That beautiful thing again…

Wish

In processing this picture, I was tickled to see this little seed pod floating by.  Make a wish, Baby N!

I couldn’t resist adding a little texture to this picture…Mama N just looks so happy and…expectant.  :)

Fairy tale

One of my favorite favorites of the session.  It’s like a fairy tale, and totally in keeping with my style.

Belly

This is another that showcases my style.  The bare pregnant belly is a subject of much debate:  should a photographer edit out the stretchmarks and lines?  To me, those marks and lines are beautiful–they show the capacity of the female form to change as needed.  And while I’ll edit them out if a client prefers, I’m so happy to show off this lovely belly here!

Thanks again, S family, for an awesome session!  Hope to see you again soon…

Miz J, Part Two

Whew!  Time is just speeding by so fast–we barely get one week finished before another is filled up.  I’m tying up loose ends on the website and ordered a new set of business cards today.  I love the new design:

Isn’t the little sweetums on the card scrumptious?  That’s Miz J–you might recognize her from around the site–, and she is just about the dumplingest little dumpling I’ve ever seen.

I got to visit with her and her mama last weekend, when we tried to get a few shots we missed out the first time around.  Miz J had other ideas (most six-week-olds do), but we had a ball trying out different shots.

Here are a few of my favorites from that session:

I also simply had to add this one, because it cracks me up.

She looks like a little maestro, doesn’t she? (Which is fitting, since her mama is a chorus director!)

After I uploaded these to her mama and daddy’s gallery, I sent off the order for her birth announcements (and one more for another little sweetums.)

NOW I have to fiddle with my Facebook page and get ready for Jeffrey’s birthday party.

Whew!  Have great weekends…
